Abstract:

 

This seminar presents two-electrode biopotential recording sensor, integrating two key components: a Common-Mode Interference Follower (CMI-Follower) and a Common-Mode Adaptive Current-Reuse OTA (CMA-CR-OTA). The proposed CMI-Follower leverages the Miller effect through a sensing capacitor to achieve high common-mode interference (CMI). This dynamic suppression mechanism effectively mitigates CMI up to 133 Vpp while consuming only 4.6 μW of power. Additionally, the noise-efficient CMA-CR-OTA enhances the system’s resilience against residual CMI caused by dynamic user motion or experience. The resulting design achieves a wide input common-mode range exceeding 400 mVpp under a 1-V supply, ensuring robust operation in real-world noisy environments.
