- 01.Program Overview

With the aim to help undergraduate students broaden their understanding of specific major fields in electronic engineering and experience graduate-level research conducted through different research labs, the Department of Electronic Engineering at Sogang University operates the Undergraduate Researcher Program.
By participating in this program, undergraduate students can experience how their knowledge gained in the classroom may be utilized and can locate their weaknesses while engaging in research tasks. Students are encouraged to join, as these experiences are also helpful in designing the future curriculum!
- 02.Eligible Applicants
- All undergraduate students at Sogang University — including in the Department of Electronic Engineering — are eligible to apply, with some limitations in terms of applicants' school years in the case of a few departments.
- 03.Participant Research Labs
- All research labs in the Department of Electronic Engineering are open to applications; please refer to research topics on the homepage.
- 04.Duration
- Regardless of the application period, following support and allocation, the program is terminated in August (for the Spring Semester) and February (for the Autumn Semester) each schoolyear. Upon termination, re-application is possible for previous applicants.
- 05.How to Apply

- During the application period, applications may be submitted via the homepage.
- Students wishing to participate as researchers can select their preferred research project team and contact each team's supervisory professor by email.
- After consultation with the supervisory professor, students apply via the department's homepage.
- Applications made without prior consultation with the supervisory professor may be limited in terms of admission for participation. Therefore, prior consultation with each project's supervisor is recommended.
